Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

Under the Botswana Sky

Under the Botswana Sky

Botswana is literally Animal Kingdom! To me, at least, being from a big city. Seeing an elephant or monkey in the streets is almost as common as stray cats in Dade County, just not as annoying. Imagine walking to the store alongside monkeys, baboons and warthogs or driving down the street and a herd of elephants cross !! Yeah! OMG, right? No lie, it all happened to me, plus some during my stay in Botswana .

So anyone who knows me knows that I love to hunt for things . Not hunt in the sense of killing but hunt like search .Naturally I’m inquisitive. Some say nosy, I say curious.  Some say plunder, I say explore. So while tracking the Big 5 I was in (wart)hog heaven (they were everywhere) 😂.But no, seriously, it was truly incredible and an absolutely wonderful day for me . Like one of the best couple days I’ve had in a very long time . Unfortunately, though not every experience is like mine . You can spend hours in the “bush” and not see anything . Fortunately we had an awesome tracker. On our first drive we spotted all four of the Big 5. Botswana is home to all of the Big 5 except rhinos . By my second drive I was recognizing fresh paw prints and spotting all types of wildlife.

The rest of my stay I was literally at peace, enjoying the sights and smells of beautiful Botswana . I couldn’t help but reflect on Paradise; how man and animal literally live amongst one another, cohabiting peacefully.

Anyway , enough about my experience.. I’ll let the pictures tell the rest of the story !!!
